The John McGivney Children’s Centre School Authority is seeking to hire qualified candidates for the following CASUAL/CALL IN positions:

POSITIONS

- Occasional Lunch Aide Positions (11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) ($23.69/hr.)
- Occasional Classroom Support Positions (8:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.) ($26.85/hr.)

DUTIES

- Assist school staff in the classroom and lunchroom with young students with special needs.
- Perform duties of personal care for students, including feeding, lifting, and toileting.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- QUALIFICATIONS: Some college level courses (preference will be given to persons with special education training or with an early childhood education diploma).




- Preference given to persons that have worked with students in a special education setting.
- Proven ability to follow directions, policies and procedures in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Able to learn and adopt new technologies rapidly (re: Classroom Support Duties).
- Must be available a minimum of three days a week.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. comfortably.
