About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Supervisor to lead our childcare center in North York. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, guiding a team of passionate educators, and ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who champions early childhood development and ensures strict adherence to provincial childcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Ensure full compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), public health guidelines, and internal center policies.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of Early Childhood Educators and childcare assistants.
- Guide the development and implementation of age-appropriate, play-based educational programs.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication regarding children’s progress and center activities.
- Manage administrative duties, including staff scheduling, enrollment inquiries, and facility maintenance checks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for licensing, health, and safety inspections.





Qualifications & Requirements

- Must hold a valid Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) license and be in valuable standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a childcare setting, with progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CCEYA, How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH), and current childcare legislation.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and up-to-date immunizations as per health requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
