About Swedish Door

Swedish Door is a locally owned manufacturer of custom cabinet doors and components for IKEA kitchens, kitchen refacing projects, and custom cabinetry. We work with homeowners, designers, contractors, and kitchen professionals across Canada and the United States.

We’re a growing company that takes pride in making high-quality products while providing customers with a level of service that is personal, knowledgeable, and straightforward.

About the Role

We are looking for an Inside Sales Associate to join our team and become an important part of the customer experience from the first inquiry through to the completed order.

This is more than simply answering phones and sending quotes. You’ll work directly with customers to understand their projects, help them find the right solutions, prepare accurate quotes, answer questions, and follow up to move projects forward.

The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable talking to people, enjoys solving problems, is organized, and understands how kitchens and cabinetry come together. Experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, millwork, renovation, or a related industry is a solid asset.

What You'll Do

- Respond to new customer inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Qualify leads by understanding the customer's project, needs, timeline, and budget.
- Build relationships with homeowners, designers, contractors, and other industry professionals.
- Review kitchen layouts and identify the individual doors, panels, fillers, and other components required for a project.
- Help customers select appropriate products, styles, materials, and finishes.

- Prepare accurate and professional quotes based on project requirements.
- Follow up with customers on outstanding quotes and opportunities.
- Answer product, pricing, ordering, and installation-related questions.
- Provide customers with product information, photos, samples, and other resources to help them make decisions.
- Guide customers through the ordering process and ensure they understand what is required to move their project forward.
- Work closely with production, administration, and other members of the Swedish Door team to ensure orders are handled accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate customer and lead information in our systems.
- Identify opportunities to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Stay up to date on Swedish Door products, finishes, pricing, and industry trends.
- Keep an eye on the competition and understand how Swedish Door's products and services compare in the marketplace.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, kitchen design, cabinetry, millwork, renovation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of kitchens and cabinetry is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident and professional phone manner.
- Strong listening skills and the ability to understand what a customer is actually looking for.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple customers and projects at different stages of the sales process.
- Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and detailed product information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel,

and CRM or ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- A positive, solution-focused attitude.
- The ability to follow through - when you tell a customer you'll do something, you do it.

The Right Person

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and solving problems.

Our customers are often working on significant home renovation projects, and they need someone who can listen, understand what they're trying to accomplish, explain their options, and make the process easier.

If you're the type of person who can take a customer's "I'm not really sure what I need" and turn it into a explicit plan, you'll probably fit in well here.

Compensation & Benefits

- Competitive base salary.
- Commission/performance-based earning opportunities.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Dental care.
- Extended health care.
- Life insurance.
- Vision care.
- On-site parking.
- Monday to Friday schedule.
- Opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Why Swedish Door?

We're a hands-on, locally owned company where the people you work with actually know your name.

You'll have the opportunity to work directly with customers, designers, contractors, and our production team while learning how a custom manufacturing business operates from the inside out.

If you're looking for a role where you can build relationships, take ownership of your work, and be part of a team that is focused on doing things better, we'd like to hear from you.
