Shivani's Paratha House is excited to bring authentic, delicious parathas and Indian flavors to downtown Halifax! We are looking for energetic, dependable Kitchen Help to join our team and help us build a welcoming, rapid-paced kitchen environment from day one.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist kitchen staff with food preparation (chopping vegetables, preparing fillings, mixing dough, and organizing ingredients).




- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and disposing of trash.
- Monitor inventory stock and restock line stations as needed.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and kitchen health regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset, but willing to train the right candidates.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30–40 lbs.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety guidelines.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
