Volvo Cars Hamilton is looking for a hands-on Lot Manager / Automotive Detailer who takes complete ownership of the dealership's lot and vehicle presentation.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping a dealership operating at a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day organization and appearance of the lot while also performing professional vehicle detailing.

You will play an important role in ensuring that every vehicle on our property is clean, organized, accounted for, properly parked, and ready for customers.

We are looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done. You see it, you own it, and you get it done.

Lot Management & Organization

- Take ownership of the overall appearance, organization, and condition of the dealership lot.
- Maintain an organized and skilled presentation of all new, used, CPO, demo, and customer vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are parked correctly and organized according to dealership requirements.
- Move vehicles throughout the property as required.
- Ensure vehicles are positioned and presented properly for customers and showroom traffic.
- Monitor vehicle keys and ensure vehicles can be located quickly when required.
- Maintain an accurate understanding of where vehicles are located on the property.
- Coordinate vehicle movements for sales, service, detailing, deliveries, demonstrations, and appointments.
- Keep the lot, driveways, parking areas, and vehicle display areas clean and organized.
- Identify vehicles or areas requiring attention and take action without being asked.
- Assist with maintaining dealership inventory organization and vehicle flow.




- Report any vehicle damage, issues, or concerns to management immediately.

Vehicle Detailing

- Professionally clean and detail new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Complete interior and exterior vehicle cleaning.
- Vacuum, shampoo, clean surfaces, windows, carpets, and upholstery as required.
- Wash, dry, and properly prepare vehicles for display and delivery.
- Prepare vehicles for customer deliveries to a high dealership standard.
- Detail used and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles before they are presented for sale.
- Maintain consistent presentation standards across all dealership vehicles.
- Perform final quality-control inspections before vehicles are placed on the sales lot or delivered to customers.
- Identify vehicles requiring additional cleaning, touch-ups, or reconditioning.
- Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas in clean and professional condition.

Vehicle Delivery & Sales Support

- Assist the sales department with vehicle preparation for customer appointments and deliveries.
- Ensure delivery vehicles are clean, fueled/charged, properly positioned, and ready on time.
- Assist with vehicle photos and presentation when required.
- Move vehicles for test drives, customer appointments, trade appraisals, and deliveries.
- Support the sales and management teams with day-to-day vehicle logistics.

Department Ownership





The Lot Manager is expected to operate their department with a high level of independence and accountability.

- Take ownership of the condition and presentation of the lot every day.
- Establish and maintain daily routines for lot organization and vehicle preparation.
- Prioritize work based on dealership needs and customer requirements.
- Communicate issues before they become problems.
- Maintain high standards without constant supervision.
- Look for ways to improve the efficiency and appearance of the department.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Service, Parts, and Management.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
- Represent Volvo Cars Hamilton professionally when interacting with customers and other employees.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

- Has previous automotive detailing or dealership experience.
- Takes genuine pride in their work.
- Is highly organized and dependable.
- Has robust attention to detail.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Has the ability to drive and maneuver vehicles safely.
- Has a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.
- Is physically capable of performing detailing and lot-management duties.
- Has strong time-management skills.
- Understands the importance of vehicle presentation in a dealership environment.
- Is proactive and naturally looks for things that need to be done.
- Takes ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
- Is comfortable working in a quick-paced dealership environment.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
