Part-Time Production Worker / CookCasalinga Food & Catering Company — Burnaby, BC

Casalinga Food & Catering Company is looking for a reliable, hardworking Part-Time Production Worker / Cook to join our busy food production kitchen.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food, takes pride in doing things correctly, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare food according to established recipes and production specifications
- Slice, chop, portion, weigh, and package food products accurately
- Cook food using stove tops, ovens, and other commercial kitchen equipment
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, cooking instructions, and food safety procedures
- Measure ingredients accurately and maintain consistency between batches
- Assist with preparation of catering orders, prepared meals, and other food products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products
- Follow all company food safety and sanitation procedures
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines
- Assist other kitchen team members as needed
- Perform general kitchen cleaning and organization duties

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, catering, or restaurant environment is an asset




- Comfortable working with commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to follow written recipes and instructions consistently
- Comfortable working with measurements, weights, and portion sizes
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Good organizational skills and a positive attitude
- Food Safe certification is an asset
- Must be comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive food preparation tasks

Schedule: Part-time; Monday - Thursday 3pm start (approx 5 hours a day)
