Raptor is recruiting Journeyman Welders who demonstrate a commitment to exceptional Health & Safety, Quality and Customer Service results. Potential candidates must have heavy industrial experience rebuilding large mining equipment such as Dippers and Doors, Clams & Backwalls, Side Frames, Drill Masts and other large heavy welding products and components, and be able to follow manufacturers and Raptor specifications. Only candidates with current Journeyman Red Seal status will be considered.

Skill Requirements:

· 1/16" flux core all position .052 Metalcore Flat/Horizontal, CWB Flux core is an asset

· Oxy-fuel cutting, manual and track cutting

· Gouging using ¼”-5/8” gouging rod

· Crack repair

· Bore build up

· Fitting

· Reading and interpreting drawings

· Repairing metals up to 6" thick





· Following and maintaining preheats as per procedure

· Repairing cast steel

· Grinding

Candidates will be required to use a Overhead crane, forklift and EWP. Current certification is an asset.
