About the Role
The Panner is responsible for portioning prepared food into individual containers according to established weights and production requirements.
This is a highly repetitive,
detailed-focused position that requires the ability to work consistently and accurately throughout the shift. The role involves working in a refrigerated environment for extended periods, standing for an entire shift, and repeatedly weighing and portioning food.
What You’ll Do
- Receive prepared food from the cooking team and portion it into individual containers.
- Use scales to ensure each portion meets the required weight.
- Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and production instructions.
- Consistently measure and portion large quantities of food with accuracy.
- Check weights and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistency.
- Complete audits as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on compliance with HACCP standards.
- Work at a steady pace while meeting daily production requirements.
- Communicate with the Leadership teams when there are questions or discrepancies.
- Follow safety, environmental and infection control practices as per facility policies.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong attention to detail and pride in accuracy.
- Comfortability working in cold environments with repetitive tasks, prolonged standing,
and lifting/moving equipment up to 50 lbs.
- A high-school diploma or equivalent education.
- Experience in food service or food production preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Good organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Physically able to lift, load carts, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic record-keeping and communication skills.
- Commitment to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
