Catering Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Catering Manager, this role is part of the leadership team responsible for the day-to-day Catering and Banquet operations of Classic Fare Catering

Responsibilities and Duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for the efficient coordination of all catering orders, by answering & receiving all orders by telephone, fax or e-mail
- Distribute orders to the appropriate production staff.
- Ensuring all orders are delivered & picked up at time requested by the client.
- Maintain a daily work schedule to ensure that all catering orders are prepared for presentation at the specified time of demand.
- Ensure adequate supply of condiments/paper goods/ supplies required according to the fluctuations of demand.
- Answering customer-billing inquiries.
- Extending the daily catering sales and preparing the weekly sales summaries.
- Assist catering staff when necessary.
- Support office procedures: telephones, PROFS, administration, fax. using Excel, Word, Microsoft, Spoonfed system
- Ensure daily,



the processing and distribution of the catering schedule for the next day/Week
- Answering the phone and dealing with day to day customer requests
- Answering request in a timely manner
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Catering Manager/Management.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements

- Must be proficient in computer programs and have exceptional administrative skills.
- Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written.
- Must be detail oriented, exceptionally well organized and show solid initiative.
- Must be able to create personal connections with both our internal and external customers
- Knowledge of Catering food and beverage menus, food preparation and presentation is required.
- Previous experience in catering sales is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
