Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented team member for our Kumon Math and Reading Center in Coquitlam. This role is ideal for someone who excels at high-level mathematics (algebra, functions, trigonometry, and calculus), can keep classroom operations running smoothly, and possesses basic computer skills to handle digital/online grading and student tracking systems.

Responsibilities

- Advanced Math Support: Provide step-by-step guidance to students working through advanced Kumon math topics, including algebra, functions, trigonometry, and calculus.
- Classroom & Flow Management: Maintain a quiet, structured, and focused learning environment, ensuring students stay on task during their center visits.
- Worksheet Grading: Perform fast, accurate grading of in-center Math and Reading worksheets using Kumon answer keys.
- Digital Work Grading: Navigate center software to grade, log, and track student work submitted through Kumon’s online platforms.
- Center Operations: Assist the Center Director with physical material setup, student record-keeping,



and organizing study plans

Experience

- Robust Math Proficiency: High confidence in advanced high school math topics through Calculus.
- Computer Literacy: Comfortable navigating basic software, web apps, and online student tracking systems.
- Student Management: Patient, encouraging, and able to keep young learners organized and focused.
- High Attention to Detail: Capable of quick, precise grading and record-keeping.
- Prior classroom experience or hands-on work with children with Kumon math and reading center
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and patience are essential for success in this role

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
