Armour Security is seeking a professional and proactive security guard to join our team at an office setting in Kamloops. The security guard is responsible for ensuring the safety of customers and staff, and maintaining a secure workplace. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of security protocols. Please note this is a permanent position, we are only looking for candidates who can commit at least 6+ months.

Location: Kamloops, BC

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 16:30, 8:00 - 16:40, 7:45 - 16:30

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: $19-20.50/hour

Requirements: BST LICENSE (Security License)

Job Description:

- Monitor the office and surrounding areas for safety concerns, suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
- Control access to the premises and assist with verifying visitors, contractors, and authorized personnel.
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence to support the safety of employees, clients, and visitors.
- Conduct routine patrols of public areas, waiting rooms, entrances, exits, parking areas, and restricted locations.
- Respond promptly to disturbances, threats, medical emergencies, alarms, and other security incidents.
- Use professional de-escalation techniques when assisting individuals who are distressed, aggressive,



or experiencing a crisis.
- Enforce site policies, including access restrictions, prohibited items, and behavioural expectations.
- Assist office staff with managing disruptive individuals and contact police or emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required security documentation.
- Work closely with client representatives, emergency services, law enforcement, and Armour Security management.
- Protect confidential information and respect the privacy and dignity of all individuals.
- Follow all site post orders, provincial security regulations, occupational health and safety requirements, and Armour Security policies.
