Reporting to the Design Director, the Copywriter crafts clear, persuasive, on-brand copy that brings Nicola Wealth's brand and campaigns to life across channels. Working within the Creative Department, the role turns briefs into compelling headlines, campaign copy, web and social content, and long-form pieces always in Nicola Wealth's voice and aligned to the content model and brand framework. Given the considered, relationship-driven nature of private wealth, the role places particular emphasis on writing with credibility, clarity and trust for sophisticated, high-net-worth audiences and the advisors who serve them.

Core Responsibilities:
- Brand & Campaign Copywriting: Write clear, persuasive, original copy for brand and marketing campaigns across channels — headlines, taglines, ads, landing pages, emails and scripts in Nicola Wealth's voice.
- Content Creation: Produce a range of content — web pages, blog and thought-leadership pieces, podcasts, social posts,
brochures and client-facing materials — aligned to the content model and content strategy.
- Concept Development: Partner with Creative Directors and designers to develop creative concepts from brief to finished execution, contributing ideas as well as words.
- Brand Voice & Consistency: Apply and help safeguard Nicola Wealth's brand voice, tone and messaging framework so every piece is consistent and on-brand.
- Editing & Proofreading: Edit and proofread your own and others' copy for clarity, accuracy, grammar and brand consistency, maintaining a high quality bar.
- Private Wealth Subject Matter: Translate complex private wealth, investment and planning topics into transparent, credible and compliant language for high-net-worth clients, prospects and advisors.
- Collaboration & Briefing: Work from creative briefs with Brand Marketing, campaign owners and subject-matter experts, managing feedback and revisions across multiple projects and deadlines.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure copy meets regulatory, compliance and disclosure requirements for financial services, partnering with Compliance on reviews and approvals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of copywriting experience in marketing, advertising, agency or in-house creative environments.
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Experience writing for Private Wealth, wealth management or financial services is required, with the ability to write credibly for high-net-worth audiences.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a strong portfolio of brand, campaign and content copy.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt voice and tone across channels; web, advertising formats, email, print and long-form.
- Experience working from creative briefs and collaborating with designers, creative directors and subject-matter experts.
- Familiarity with financial services compliance, disclosure and regulatory considerations in marketing copy is an asset.
- Strong organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
