Canadian Appliance Recycling Enterprise (CARE)

Canada

Company Overview
Canadian Appliance Recycling Enterprise (CARE) is a trusted leader in appliance recycling and waste diversion, serving municipalities, utilities, and customers across Canada. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility, CARE ensures seamless appliance pickup, delivery, and recycling services through strategically located warehouses throughout Ontario.

Build relationships. Open new markets. Grow with CARE.

CARE is expanding its commercial and energy-services divisions and is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager who can create a qualified pipeline, develop client relationships and close current business. This is a performance-driven role for someone who knows how to sell solutions to developers, builders, property managers, housing providers, contractors, municipalities, utilities and commercial or institutional organizations.

This is primarily a new-business development position. You will find the opportunities, lead the commercial conversation and carry qualified pursuits from first contact through proposal, negotiation and award.

What you will sell

- Residential and commercial appliances, including supply, delivery, installation, removal and responsible recycling
- Smart thermostats, controls and related connected-building solutions
- Heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions, including cold-climate air-source heat pumps
- Heat-pump water heaters and complementary energy-efficiency measures
- Weatherization and building-envelope improvements
- Energy-efficiency program delivery and field-service support
- Warehousing, inventory staging, project coordination and multi-site deployment support

Who you will pursue

- Condominium, high-rise, low-rise and purpose-built rental developers
- Property managers, affordable housing providers and community housing organizations
- General contractors, construction managers, renovation and restoration firms
- Municipalities, institutions and broader public-sector organizations

- Mechanical and HVAC contractors, energy consultants, utilities and program administrators
- Commercial property owners, Indigenous communities and remote-community organizations

What you will do

- Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across Ontario.
- Prospect through direct outreach, referrals, networking, construction intelligence, tenders and market research.
- Establish relationships with owners, executives, procurement teams, developers, consultants and project leaders.
- Understand each client’s operational, technical, budget, schedule and service requirements.
- Develop appliance, HVAC, smart-thermostat, weatherization, energy-service or combined solutions.
- Lead opportunities through qualification, pricing, proposal, negotiation and closing.
- Coordinate with CARE’s procurement, technical, operations, logistics and program-management teams.
- Ensure pricing, margins, commitments and commercial terms receive appropriate internal approval.
- Maintain accurate contacts, activities, opportunities, forecasts and next steps in CARE’s CRM.
- Monitor development activity, capital plans, construction projects, procurements and energy programs.
- Complete a disciplined handoff to the delivery team after award and identify appropriate cross-selling opportunities.

Who will thrive here

You are a proactive business developer who understands at least one of CARE’s core markets and can quickly learn the others. Direct experience in every service line is not required. Commercial instinct, credibility, relationships and a record of creating business matter most.

- Five or more years of successful B2B sales or business-development experience is preferred.
- A demonstrated ability to independently generate and close new commercial business.
- Knowledge of Ontario’s development, construction, property-management, housing, HVAC or energy markets.
- Strong prospecting, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing skills.
- Sound commercial judgment, including an understanding of pricing, margin, risk and client commitments.
- Confidence managing longer sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Professional written communication, CRM discipline and reliable forecasting.
- A valid driver’s licence, reliable transportation and the ability to attend meetings and project sites.

ADJACENT-INDUSTRY CANDIDATES WELCOME Sales professionals from cabinetry, flooring, plumbing, controls, mechanical equipment, building materials, fixtures and other construction-related categories are encouraged to apply.

What CARE provides

- Uncapped commission and substantial income potential

- Multiple products and services that can be sold individually or as a complete solution

- Support from experienced procurement, technical, logistics, warehousing, installation and program teams

- Established manufacturer and service-partner relationships

- Operational capability for individual requirements, large projects and multi-site programs

- Direct access to leadership, a high degree of independence and an opportunity to shape a growing division

Independent sales agents welcome

CARE welcomes established independent sales agents and industry representatives with relevant Ontario relationships. If you represent complementary products or services and believe CARE’s appliance and energy solutions would add value to your client base, identify your preferred engagement structure when applying.
