Job Overview
Our AZ Truck and Equipment operator loads, delivers and unloads seasonal Garden Centre structures, Fence Panels, and Steel & Fabric dome structures to our clientele in Ontario. You are a safe and responsible operator of our equipment and you communicate clearly and efficiently with our office, customers and install crews. You load, secure loads and unload at sometimes challenging locations and have a hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves attitude towards work. In our peak season, some weeks will include overnights during the weekdays.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Loads, secures loads, unloads;
- Drives a truck with flatbed trailer;
- Operates Forklifts, Telehandlers, Frontloaders;
- Communicates with our service teams about delivery schedules;
- Inspects equipment for safe operation;
- Helps out where needed, even if unrelated to truck or equipment operation.

Qualifications & Key Skills

- Must have a clean AZ driving record, with at least 5 years of AZ driving experience;
- Must have experience in operating a forklift, frontloader and/or telehandler;
- Effective interpersonal skills to operate effectively within the company’s team, with customers and service providers such as install crews and sub-contractors;
- Must be fluent in English, verbally and written;
- Must have strong problem solving skills;
- Highschool level education;
- Must be technically inclined;
- Ability to prioritize and work under time deadlines;
- Ability to work under pressures of conflicting priorities;
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate to resolve scheduling conflicts;
- Ability to manage priority expectations;
- Must be goal oriented and possess the ability to work under pressure;
- Must be hands-on and have experience with properly loading, load securing,



and unloading flatbed trailers.

- Duties are not limited to this job description. There are tasks and challenges that change from day to day and come up spontaneously. It is expected that all team members help problem-solve and work with each other and for each other as the business requires;
- Out Front Portable Solutions is organized relatively “flat” with only a few layers. Titles and Positions are necessary to understand how we’re organized, but less important on a daily basis, as we operate as a team;
- Hours worked per week can vary, depending on the week, the tasks at hand and the season. Hours per week will typically not be less than 38, and should not exceed 50;
- Our peak season spans March to May, which is when you are expected to not take time off, other than for emergencies. The month of April is especially busy, and some overtime may be necessary.

Pay: $27.50-$38.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 60.0 per week
