Montessori Guide - Casa

Start: Immediately

Morningside Montessori School is seeking a dedicated Montessori professional who has a passion for working with children. We are a small school who takes pride in providing an authentic Montessori environment for children to flourish in. This is a full-time Montessori Guide position beginning immediately for the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements:

- Must have AMI, TMI, or MACTE Accredited Montessori Diploma
- RECE certification in valuable standing is considered an asset.
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Level C (required).
- Current up to date immunization record or Statement of Conscience (required).
- Current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required).
- Committed to the Montessori Philosophy.
- Passion for working with children.
- Professional, independent and reliable.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Patient, kind, friendly, respectful towards children, co-workers and families.
- Strong classroom management and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Work effectively as a part of a team.
- French language knowledge considered an asset.

Responsibilities:





- Implement and practice all Morningside Montessori School policies and procedures.
- Implement and practice all CCEYA regulations.
- Develop and implement an individualized Montessori program for each child.
- Complete individual weekly plans, record keeping, progress reports and required documents per the school and regulations.
- Provide collaborative support to the children and families of the classroom.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, well prepared, complete and attractive Montessori environment, including routine care and maintenance of classroom materials

Remuneration & Hours of Work:

- Hours of work are Monday to Friday scheduled between the hours of 7:15am and 5:30pm with some after hour requirements as needed (e.g. staff meetings, school social).
- A three-month probation beginning at the start of employment will be in effect.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33.75 – 40.0 per week
