Imagine breaking from tradition to ensure a brighter future for generations to come. At Nature Fresh Farms®, we’re committed to nourishing people and the planet through greenhouse farming.
Since 1999, our family-owned company has pursued a simple yet profound goal: to cultivate a kinder, healthier future. While we are growers, we are also greenhouse builders, plant nurturers, and collaborative partners united by shared values and vision.
Our journey is far from over. As we look to the future, we remain committed to:
- Innovation and conservation
- Reducing waste and promoting biodiversity
- Creating a more sustainable, inclusive, and friendlier world for all
We’re Hiring!
We are currently looking to fill a full time, permanent position for a Workplace Learning & Language Specialist in our People & Culture department at our Leamington office.
What You'll Do:
Language Assessment and Learning Plans:
- Assess each employee’s current English or Spanish language ability and identify areas for development.
- Develop individualized learning plans based on the employee’s language level, role, and learning goals.
- Establish clear learning objectives and measurable benchmarks for each learner and learner group.
- Track attendance, learning objectives, and employee progress against established benchmarks.
- Provide employees with constructive feedback and adjust learning plans as required.
- Work collaboratively with leaders and departments to identify and address language-support needs across the organization.
- Language Instruction – One-on-One and Small Group
- Deliver one-on-one language instruction tailored to the individual learner’s level, role, and pace.
- Plan and facilitate small-group language sessions, building peer practice, conversation and shared learning into the program.
- Teach practical speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation skills.
- Deliver workplace-based and on-the-job learning sessions that apply language skills directly in the work environment.
- Prepare lesson plans, exercises, learning materials, and activities that are relevant to employees’ everyday work and communication needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit different learning preferences, abilities, and levels of language proficiency, including learners with limited formal education or literacy in their first language.
- Build role-specific and safety-critical vocabulary into instruction so that learners can apply language immediately in their work areas.
- Help employees build confidence communicating with coworkers, supervisors, and others in the workplace.
- Coordinate lesson schedules around employee shifts and operational requirements.
- Translation and Interpretation
- Translate workplace communications from English to Spanish, including emails, documents, notices, presentations, training materials, social media posts, and other communications as required. Ensure translations are accurate, clear, culturally appropriate, and easy for employees to understand.
- Provide verbal interpretation during meetings, training sessions, orientations, and employee conversations.
- Review and quality-check translated materials produced by others, including machine and AI-assisted translations, before they are released to employees.
Training Design and Delivery:
- Design, develop and deliver workplace training in person, online (virtual instructor-led), and in hybrid formats, in English and in Spanish.
- Build training materials, facilitator guides, job aids,
and participant resources using sound adult learning and instructional design principles.
- Adapt and localize existing training content for Spanish-speaking employees so that learning is delivered in the employee’s preferred language rather than translated after the fact.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of language development and training programs, gather learner feedback, and recommend improvements.
- AI-Enabled Learning
- Use AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate the development of lesson content, practice exercises, assessments, translations, and training materials.
- Identify and apply practical ways AI can support learners directly — for example, conversation practice, pronunciation feedback, reading support, and on-demand explanation — while applying sound judgement on accuracy, appropriateness for the audience, privacy and human review.
People & Culture Training Support:
- Support People & Culture with training needs across the organization, with particular focus on temporary foreign workers and other newcomer employees.
- Assist with the delivery of existing training to ensure content is understood by employees of all language backgrounds.
- Support programs that help temporary foreign workers settle, communicate and succeed at work, working with People & Culture and community partners as required.
Other Duties:
- Maintain confidentiality when working with employees or company information.
- Support People and Culture projects and company events as required.
- Comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedure
- Complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- This job description highlights the main components but is not inclusive of other activities that may be required
What You Bring:

- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish is required.
- Ability to teach, facilitate and deliver training confidently in both English and Spanish.
- Strong knowledge of English and Spanish grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling, and written communication.
Experience:
- Experience teaching or tutoring English or Spanish as an additional language to adults, both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Experience designing and delivering workplace training in person, online, and in hybrid formats.
- Experience supporting temporary foreign workers, newcomers, or a multilingual and multicultural workforce is preferred.
- Experience in an agriculture, greenhouse, food production, or manufacturing workplace is an asset.
- Experience translating, editing and proofreading workplace communications.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design practice (for example ADDIE or similar models).
- Ability to assess language proficiency and measure learner progress against clear benchmarks.
- Ability to explain information clearly and adapt teaching approaches to individual learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, encouraging, approachable, and respectful.
- Strong organizational, scheduling, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a caseload of learners alongside broader training work.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with employees from a range of backgrounds.
Education:
- Recognized second-language teaching qualification — TESOL, TESL, CELTA, TEFL, or equivalent. TESL Canada or TESL Ontario accreditation is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in adult education, education, instructional design, or a related field (degree, diploma, or certificate).
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Technical:
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Forms.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot, and a practical understanding of how they can be used to support learning, content development and translation — including their limitations and the need for human review.
- Comfort delivering and supporting learning through virtual platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) is an asset.
- Familiarity with authoring and multimedia tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Synthesia, or ElevenLabs is an asset.
What To Expect:

- Required to visit locations that require walking/standing that may be in a cold warehouse or hot greenhouse setting.
- Travel and personal use of vehicle required for offsite meetings, training, etc.
- Lessons and training sessions may take place in an office, classroom, greenhouse, production area, or other workplace setting.
