Job Title: Production Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a Production Manager to join a growing manufacturing operation and play a key role in its continued development and expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Production Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into management and grow with an organization undergoing positive change.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-focused leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing teams, improving processes, and driving results. Experience within food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Job Location: Woodstock, ON

Shift Structure:

- 100% onsite
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off
- Must be flexible to stay later when required to ensure a proper handoff to the afternoon shift team

Compensation Structure: $90,000/year - $95,000/year+ (flexible for the right candidate) + excellent benefits + performance-based bonus program

Responsibilities:

· Oversee day-to-day production operations across dispensing, blending, encapsulation, capsule inspection, and filling lines, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and consistently.

· Lead and develop Production Supervisors and Team Leaders, providing direction, coaching, performance feedback, and support to achieve operational and individual goals.

· Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the production team.

· Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with cGMP, food safety, sanitation, health and safety requirements, company policies, and applicable regulatory standards.

· Monitor production activities to ensure product specifications, quality standards, yields, and production schedules are consistently achieved.

· Evaluate staffing levels, employee placement, training needs, and departmental workflows to optimize overall production performance.

· Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance,



Warehouse, Scheduling, and HR to address operational challenges and improve cross-functional coordination.

· Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies while implementing practical solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness.

· Establish, monitor, and report on key production metrics and KPIs, including OEE, safety, schedule adherence, yield, and productivity.

· Review production data and performance trends to identify opportunities for process optimization, equipment improvements, and cost reduction.

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives through the introduction of new processes, equipment, technologies, and operational practices.

· Ensure daily production checks, shift reports, records, and other required documentation are completed accurately and on time.

· Develop, implement, and track quarterly operational initiatives, departmental goals, and budgets.

· Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with Production Supervisors and support ongoing employee development and performance management.

· Work with HR to identify staffing requirements, training needs, employee concerns, and other people-related matters.

· Maintain open, effective communication across the production team and encourage collaboration, feedback, and proactive problem-solving.

· Support a positive and productive workplace environment by fostering strong employee engagement and teamwork.

· Provide hands-on leadership on the production floor and step in to support Production Supervisors and daily operations as required.

· Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.





Skills/Qualifications:

· 5+ years of progressive production/operations management experience, ideally within a food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment.

· Strong understanding of cGMP requirements, manufacturing practices, and operational SOPs.

· Post-secondary education in a technical discipline, manufacturing, operations, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

· Formal training or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, OEE, Theory of Constraints, or other operational improvement methodologies. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced production environment.

· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.

· Approachable and collaborative leadership style, with a focus on encouraging open communication, teamwork, and the sharing of ideas.

· Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to question existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

· Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements, improve efficiency, and achieve production goals.

· Highly organized and results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and follow through on commitments.

· Reliable, consistent, self-motivated, and accountable with a strong focus on team and business results.
