The Opportunity
We’re hiring a hands-on technician to support the production of our environmental monitoring equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with electronics, solving technical problems, and seeing a product through from components to finished system.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and assemble electronic devices using schematics, work instructions, and engineering drawings
- Perform soldering and wiring of circuit boards, sensors, and connectors
- Integrate mechanical parts with electronic assemblies to complete final units
- Execute functional tests to ensure products meet internal and customer specifications
- Identify faults during testing and carry out repairs or adjustments as needed
- Use testing software and diagnostic tools to verify system performance
- Inspect completed units to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards
- Assist with calibration procedures for sensors and measurement equipment
- Document build, test, and calibration results accurately
- Provide input on improving assembly efficiency and product design
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in electronics assembly or production
- Strong soldering and wiring skills, especially with PCB-based systems
- High level of attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and manuals
- Experience troubleshooting electronic systems
- Understanding of quality control practices and workplace safety
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Clear communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with environmental sensors or monitoring systems
- Familiarity with embedded systems or microcontroller-based devices
- Exposure to calibration processes and measurement equipment
- Experience with tools like SolidWorks or other 3D modelling software
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing or laser cutting
What to Expect
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday schedule (8-hour shifts)
- In-person role based in Stouffville, Ontario
- 3-month probationary period
- Practical assessment may be included during the hiring process

Location Requirement
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Stouffville, ON or relocate prior to starting.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
