Digital Content Specialist, Hospitality
The MRG Group
Toronto, ON
Who We Are:
Founded in 2008, The MRG Group is Canada's largest independent entertainment company and a leader in experience creation. Our mission is to bring experiences to life for creators, fans, brands, and partners.
The MRG Group is an integrated network of companies operating across the hospitality, venue, media, ticketing (including the ticketing service AdmitONE), and insurance sectors. With a portfolio of 18 hospitality properties across Canada, The MRG Group also owns and operates an events business, a travel company, and a digital publication.
Who You Are:
We are looking for a highly creative and visually driven Digital Content Specialist to capture the energy, excitement, and distinct personalities of our live events and hospitality experiences.
Reporting to the Hospitality Marketing Manager, the Digital Content Specialist will split their time between strategic creative planning and rapid-paced on-site execution - turning real-time, high-energy moments into polished, social-first content. This role puts a creator with a sharp eye for viral trends and a passion for live entertainment right at the centre of the action.
What You’ll Work On:
- Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content across live events, festivals, venue buyouts, nightlife programming, F&B; launches and brand activations.
- Plan and execute content shoots around specific creative, marketing and business objectives, including scripting, shot lists, production planning and directing on-camera subjects.
- Curate social-first plans for Instagram,
TikTok and other platforms, from real-time event coverage to polished short-form video and campaign assets.
- Curate content across multiple venue and event brands, ensuring each maintains a distinct and consistent identity.
- Identify social trends and translate them into relevant content opportunities for venues, events, artists and hospitality brands.
- Manage content from pre-production through capture, editing and final delivery, balancing planned shoots with fast-moving live content needs.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, talent and venue teams to ensure priority programming, promotions and experiences are effectively captured and communicated.
- Support the hospitality and venues team with administrative and marketing tasks, including copywriting, event marketing campaign deployment, event listings and related day-to-day execution.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in content creation, social media or digital marketing, with experience in live events, hospitality, nightlife, festivals or entertainment required.
- Strong photography, videography and video editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating social-first content creation.
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects,
Photoshop, Lightroom, CapCut or comparable video and photo editing tools.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and other social platforms, including current formats, trends and content best practices.
- Strong creative planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shoots, events and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to identify compelling moments and translate them into engaging, brand-relevant content.
- Comfortable working independently on-site while collaborating with marketing, operations, talent and venue teams.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, to support live events and venue programming (this role does not follow traditional 9–5 hours).
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments including concerts, festivals, nightlife venues, restaurants and large-scale events.
What’s In It For You?
- Competitive compensation, including base salary and performance-based incentives.
- Opportunities for growth in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
- A collaborative culture that celebrates creativity and innovation.
- Access to unique experiences across The MRG Group’s diverse portfolio.
