Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who can independently set up machines and take a job from drawing through to a finished precision part

We are hiring a CNC Lathe Machinist / Setup Technician for a well-established precision manufacturing facility in Mississauga. This is a hands-on machining position for someone with strong CNC lathe setup experience who is comfortable working with tight tolerances and complex components.

This is not an operator-only position — you must have hands-on experience completing CNC lathe setups.

What You'll Be Doing

Set up and operate CNC lathes for precision machining

*
Complete machine changeovers and full setups independently

*
Select and install appropriate tooling, inserts and workholding

*
Establish and adjust tool and work offsets

*
Load existing programs and make adjustments as required

*
Perform first-off pieces and make necessary machining corrections

*
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints

*
Work with GD&T; and tight dimensional tolerances

*
Adjust speeds, feeds and tooling to maintain quality and efficiency

Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment

*
Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues

*
Maintain consistent quality throughout production runs

What We're Looking For

*
Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, CNC Lathe Setup Technician or CNC Setup Machinist

*
Strong hands-on CNC lathe setup experience is required

*
Experience with Fanuc and/or Mazak controls

*
Ability to independently complete setups and prove out parts

*
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T; knowledge

*
Experience working to tight tolerances

*
Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, gauges and other precision inspection equipment

*
Strong understanding of tooling, inserts, speeds, feeds and offsets

*
Previous precision machining experience
