What's the role:

An opportunity exists for a full-time machine operator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced person looking for a change or greater challenges. We are in need of a machine operator with experience operating one or more of the following CNC equipment:

- Plasma Beamline
- Bandsaw
- Plasma cutting table
- Plate rolls
- Press Brake

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

- Work in accordance with OH&S; regulations and Nutana Machine Safe Work Procedures and safety rules.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Verify the consumable and shielding gas for plasma equipment.
- Daily machine startup, operation, and shutdown procedures on CNC equipment.
- Troubleshoot, and perform corrective action or minor repairs.
- Work with team members to prioritize work orders.
- Complete documentation requirements.
- Keep workspace and relevant equipment organized and free from hazards.
- Ability to meet specific standards and communicate problems to supervisors.
- Perform work efficiently to meet schedule, and estimated hours requirements.
- Responsible use of consumables and raw materials.
- Operation of Overhead Travelling Crane once training and competency is verified.

Skills required:

- Previous machine operating experience an asset.
- Organizational and problem-solving
- Experience in setting up and adjusting CNC programs as needed.
- Attention to detail
- Work productively with others and independently
