About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and highly respected professional services firm, is seeking a Bilingual Consultant or Senior Consultant to join its collaborative Ottawa team supporting executive search mandates across Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional looking to build a long-term career in executive search. Working alongside experienced Partners and Consultants, you will play an integral role in delivering senior-level recruitment mandates for clients across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.

The successful candidate will bring strong recruitment and research skills, a consultative approach, and the ability to build trusted relationships with candidates and senior stakeholders. While executive search experience is an asset, the firm is also open to experienced recruitment professionals from corporate talent acquisition, recruitment agencies, professional services, or other specialized recruitment environments who are looking to take their career into executive search.

You'll have the opportunity to develop strong client relationships, contribute to business development initiatives, and work on high-profile leadership searches while enjoying a collaborative, values-driven culture that promotes professional growth and work-life balance.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Partner with Senior Consultants and Practice Partners to deliver executive search mandates from initiation through completion
Develop search strategies and conduct targeted industry, talent, and market research
Identify, source, engage, and assess senior-level and specialized candidates through proactive outreach and networking
Conduct in-depth candidate interviews and evaluations to assess experience, qualifications, motivations,



and overall fit with the mandate
Prepare candidate assessments, search updates, market intelligence, and client reports
Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and clients throughout the recruitment process
Support client meetings and participate in search strategy and candidate discussions
Monitor search progress, identify challenges, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
Manage multiple concurrent search assignments while maintaining exceptional service standards
Collaborate with colleagues across Canada to support national search projects as required
Contribute to business development initiatives and help identify future client opportunities
Develop a strong understanding of client organizations, industries, leadership markets, and talent trends
About You

The successful candidate will have the following:
Minimum of 3-5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with experience in executive search, agency recruitment, corporate talent acquisition, professional services, or specialized recruitment considered an asset
Experience recruiting for senior-level, specialized, or hard-to-fill positions
Proven ability to manage complex recruitment projects from intake through completion
Strong sourcing skills and the ability to identify and engage passive candidates
Strong research, interviewing, and candidate assessment skills
Ability to build trusted relationships with candidates, hiring leaders, and senior stakeholders




Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a qualified presence
A proactive, self-directed approach with strong judgment and problem-solving abilities
Genuine interest in developing a career in executive search and working in a consultative professional services environment
Proficiency with CRM or applicant tracking systems; Salesforce experience is considered an asset
Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written)
About the Job
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 2-3 days/week in the downtown Ottawa office
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus bonus potential, also including a comprehensive benefits package and perks to support work-life balance
