Job Overview
Our clinet is looking for an experienced Flooring Finisher to join our team for projects across Toronto and the GTA.
The primary focus of this position is epoxy flooring and floor leveling. We are looking for experienced workers who can perform these tasks independently and efficiently. Concrete polishing experience is an asset, but polishing-only experience does not qualify for the Finisher position.
Ideal candidates will have experience in at least one of the following combinations:
Candidates with strong experience in epoxy and/or floor leveling will be prioritized.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and apply epoxy flooring systems
- Perform floor leveling and surface preparation
- Grind and prepare concrete surfaces
- Perform patching, repairs, and other concrete preparation work
- Apply coatings and flooring systems according to project specifications
- Perform sand broadcasting and related epoxy flooring tasks
- Operate grinding and other flooring equipment safely
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and proper finish
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
- Work independently and as part of a flooring crew
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and within project timelines
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with epoxy flooring and/or floor leveling
- Ability to perform flooring preparation and finishing work independently
- Experience with concrete grinding and surface preparation
- Ability to follow measurements, instructions, and project specifications
- Construction or commercial flooring experience preferred
- Concrete polishing experience is an asset, but polishing-only experience is not sufficient
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Physically capable of performing flooring and construction duties
- Comfortable working on construction sites
- Must follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Must have appropriate PPE and be willing to follow site requirements
Compensation & Schedule
$25–$30/hour, based on experience
