Your Next Opportunity
As the HR Generalist, you will support the delivery of Human Resources services, policies, and programs across Martin Canada. You will work closely with local leadership and Corporate Human Resources to help maintain a positive, high-performance culture focused on employee support, productivity, development, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is organized, approachable, detail oriented, and comfortable supporting a broad range of HR responsibilities.
This position is on-site, based in either Ayr or Mississauga, with time split between facilities and occasional travel to our Edmonton location.
The Value You'll Add
- Support the administration and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Assist in supporting business and strategic objectives through effective HR practices
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including identifying staffing needs, preparing job descriptions, posting roles, screening candidates, and supporting the hiring process
- Prepare employment-related documentation and assist with onboarding activities
- Help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Support employee wellness initiatives and performance review processes
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR files
- Assist with employee benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Help coordinate training and development programs
- Contribute to employee engagement and workforce support initiatives
- Support additional HR projects and administrative responsibilities as needed
What You'll Bring:
- 3–5 years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or HR support role
- Knowledge of Canadian labor laws, employment standards, and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees at all levels
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
Considered a Plus!
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field
- CHRP designation preferred; CHRL is considered an asset
- Experience supporting multiple locations
- Budget tracking or reporting experience
What You'll Earn:
The expected salary range for this position is CAD $65,000–$88,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Martin offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to grow your career within a well-established organization.
