White Rock Orthopaedic Surgery Centre is seeking a reliable and organized Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to support our surgical team and day-to-day facility operations. This position combines medical device reprocessing with inventory, supply and general facility support responsibilities.

Responsibilities

- Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package and sterilize reusable surgical instruments
- Operate steam sterilizers and complete required chemical and biological monitoring
- Review sterilization cycle parameters and maintain accurate reprocessing and sterilization records
- Follow manufacturers’ IFUs, infection prevention practices and established MDR procedures
- Identify and report damaged instruments, failed cycles or equipment concerns
- Maintain proper handling and storage of clean and sterile supplies
- Monitor inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels throughout the facility
- Order medical, surgical and general facility supplies as required
- Receive deliveries,



verify orders and organize incoming supplies
- Restock OR, pre-operative, recovery and other clinical areas
- Monitor supply quantities and expiry dates and help prevent unnecessary shortages or overstock
- Coordinate instrument and supply needs with the OR team based on the surgical schedule
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient MDR and supply area
- Assist with other facility-related duties as required

Qualifications

- Medical Device Reprocessing certification or recognized MDR education strongly preferred
- Previous MDR, sterile processing or surgical facility experience preferred
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and steam sterilization
- Solid organizational, inventory-management and attention-to-detail skills
- Able to prioritize responsibilities and work independently
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working within a small surgical team

Position: Part-time/Casual

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
