Overview
We are hiring for a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA).
In this role, you will assist dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, and provide exceptional support to both patients and staff. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment that prioritizes patient comfort and safety.

Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures
- Assist dentists chairside during general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols
- Manage patient records using Tracker, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Support infection control practices and proper sterilization procedures
- Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote optimal health outcomes
- Maintain organized medical records with accurate coding using dental terminology for billing and insurance purposes
Experience
- Completion of a Certified/Registered Dental Assisting Level II
- Registered or in process of registering with the: BC College of Oral Health Professionals
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
- Hands-on knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, infection control
- Experience with Tracker software an asset, but not required
- New grads welcome!

- 32 to 40 hours a week
- Monday to Friday ( 4 and/or 5 days a week possible)
