Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for every patient
- Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry and pediatrics
- Manage patient records using dental practice management software such as Abeldent ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service as the first point of contact for patients, including handling check-ins, scheduling appointments
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing wellness
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant Level II with current licensure or certification in good standing
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures across general dentistry and pediatrics
- Familiarity with dental software such as abeldent for managing patient records and scheduling
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care and treatment planning
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and background
