Position Overview
We are seeking an Employment Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong drafting skills, experience handling employment disputes, and the ability to manage files independently while working within a supportive, process-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, and human rights matters
- Draft demand letters, pleadings, submissions, and legal correspondence
- Provide advice on employment contracts, terminations, workplace policies, and compliance
- Appear at mediations, negotiations,
and tribunals
- Conduct legal research and prepare written opinions
- Manage deadlines, client updates, and strategic planning
Qualifications
- Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- 2–6 years’ experience in employment or civil litigation
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to handle files independently
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a quick-paced environment
