Job Overview

We currently have a part-time position for the Stirling Feed & Seed store front as a customer service representative/cashier available on a 1 year contract basis covering for a maternity leave.

Stirling Feed & Seed is a family-owned business, established in 1974. We are located in the village of Stirling. Our store is busy and fast paced. We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and provide customer service to the farming community.

* Agriculture background would be an asset.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping experience, answering questions about products and services across multiple animal species.
- Maintain organized records for orders and deliveries.
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash, credit card transactions,



and process refunds accurately
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with the latest products
- Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues promptly, managing complaints professionally, and ensuring a positive shopping experience

Qualifications

- Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or cashiering roles.
- Solid communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Basic organizational skills to manage merchandising displays and inventory efficiently.
- Agriculture knowledge is an asset.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
