Job Summary

Superior Construction is currently seeking an experienced and dependable Skilled Labourer to join our growing team. This position will involve work on a variety of in-town construction projects and mine sites throughout Timmins and surrounding areas.

Applicants MUST have a construction background and previous hands-on construction experience to be considered for this position.

Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, works well as part of a crew, and understands the importance of maintaining a safe and productive job site.

Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of general and skilled construction tasks
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Assist carpenters, equipment operators, supervisors, and other trades as required
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
- Follow site-specific procedures and safe work practices
- Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a crew




- Perform physically demanding work in varying weather and site conditions
- Complete other construction-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Construction background is required
- Previous hands-on construction experience is required
- Experience on commercial, industrial, or civil construction projects is an asset
- Mine site experience is considered an asset
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Safety-minded with the ability to follow site procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence preferred
- Relevant safety training and mine site certifications are considered assets

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
