Duties

- Prepare and deliver dynamic lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, and other science subjects aligned with curriculum standards
- Create an inclusive classroom workplace that supports diverse learning needs, including students requiring special education accommodations
- Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments to enhance practical understanding of scientific principles
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to promote growth
- Incorporate tutoring sessions to reinforce concepts and support individual student success
- Communicate effectively with students, parents,



and colleagues to ensure a collaborative educational experience
- Maintain safety protocols during laboratory activities and ensure all equipment is properly used and stored

Experience

- Prior classroom experience teaching science at middle or high school levels is preferred
- Strong knowledge of scientific subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, or related fields
- Experience with tutoring or mentoring students to improve understanding and performance in science topics
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and safety standards in educational settings
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts and foster student engagement
- Experience working with students requiring special education support is a plus
- Background in teaching math alongside science can enhance interdisciplinary instruction

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
