Job Overview:

Duties:

- Support daily routines, including meals, household tasks, recreation, fitness activities, and community outings
- Encourage independence, skill-building, and meaningful community inclusion
- Follow behaviour support plans and accurately document and track progress
- Implement proactive support strategies to promote safety, engagement, and quality of life
- Provide support during periods of self-injurious behaviour (SIB) in accordance with established protocols and training
- Work collaboratively with family members, clinical professionals, and other team members
- Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities

Skills & Qualifications:

- Compassion, reliability, patience, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Minimum one (1) year of experience supporting autistic individuals or individuals with developmental disabilities (required)
- Previous experience supporting individuals who engage in self-injurious behaviour (SIB), challenging behaviours, or complex support needs (required)




- Knowledge of person-centred supports, positive behaviour support, and community inclusion practices (an asset)
- Education in Health Sciences, Community Services, Social Work, Behaviour Science Technology, or a related field (an asset)
- Valid driver's license
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Vulnerable Sector Screening

Preference will be given to candidates who are available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Sunday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm / 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm / 10:00 pm - 7:30 am.

Experience:

- Supporting autistic /developmentally disabled individuals: 1 year (required)
