Edmonton Academy is an Alberta Education-designated special education independent school serving students in Grades 3–12 who have diagnosed Specific Learning Disorders in reading, writing, and/or mathematics. Our students are capable learners who often have experienced frustration or repeated difficulty in traditional school environments. Our goal is to change that experience by providing a structured, supportive environment where students can understand how they learn, build confidence, and develop the skills and independence needed for long-term success.
Our classrooms are intentionally designed around small instructional groups, explicit and systematic instruction, individualized support, and evidence-based strategies.
Teachers use the Alberta Education curriculum while adapting instructional approaches to each student's learning profile.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working closely with students and values individualized, relationship-based instruction.
