Duties

- Assist with the installation and assembly of piping systems using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide pipe fitting tasks
- Support welding activities including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and basic welding techniques under supervision
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and basic math skills to ensure accurate pipe cuts and fittings
- Participate in rigging operations to lift and position pipes safely during installation or maintenance projects
- Help with routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of piping systems and mechanical components




- Gain exposure to HVAC systems, plumbing, schematics, and manufacturing processes relevant to pipe fitting

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in mechanics or construction is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in welding (MIG/TIG), HVAC, plumbing or related fields
- Basic understanding of mechanical concepts and the use of hand tools
- Ability to read simple blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Willingness to learn new skills such as welding techniques, rigging procedures, and blueprint reading
- Basic math skills including measurements and calculations necessary for pipe fitting tasks
