Intermediate IT Technician

We are hiring an Intermediate IT Technician to provide ongoing support and consultation for our private business clients. This is an in-person role based in Ottawa, and we are only considering candidates who currently live in or near Ottawa and can reliably work on-site.

We're looking for a technician who is experienced, personable, and genuinely enjoys helping people. You'll interact with team members at both the coworker and executive level while managing a variety of advanced technology systems.

Responsibilities

- Install and configure hardware and software components
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Repair or replace hardware as needed
- Upgrade systems to maintain software compatibility
- Install and update security software and systems to ensure network stability
- Test and evaluate software and hardware
- Provide information and support to users
- Build and maintain relationships across teams and departments





Requirements

- Must be located in or near Ottawa — this is not a remote position
- Proven experience in IT support or technical support, with a strong customer service focus
- Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as LAN setup and firewall management
- Strong troubleshooting skills across both software and hardware
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
