Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This is a hybrid role based in Victoria, BC. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and supporting project-based accounting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

● Execute and support daily accounting operations, including journal entries, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, eliminations, project accounting, and reconciliations, across our Canadian and US entities

● Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

● Assist in preparing internal and external financial statements in compliance with IFRS, under the Controller's direction on complex technical areas

● Support project accounting systems and processes, ensuring they align with organizational goals

● Collaborate with the Controller to enhance financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems

● Interact with external auditors and tax consultants during annual audits and periodic compliance reviews

● Ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data to senior management





● Support the use of NetSuite to improve financial operations and data integrity

● Oversee third party payroll vendors as needed

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

● 4 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including consolidations, intercompany transactions, and month-end or year-end close in a multi-entity setting

● Comfortable working directly with external auditors

● CPA designation, or actively enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP), preferred

● Experience with IFRS or US GAAP financial statements

● Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software

● Proficiency in Excel

● Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Requirements:

This position requires a satisfactory background check as a condition of employment.

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
