We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall accounts payable function. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
- Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments and avoid late fees.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account issues.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
