We are looking for a motivated Admission Counselor who can connect with prospective students, understand their career goals, explain suitable programs and convert qualified leads into enrollments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact and follow up with prospective students through phone, WhatsApp, email and other communication channels.
- Respond promptly to new leads and maintain consistent follow-up.
- Understand the student’s education, career goals and circumstances and recommend appropriate MLC programs.
- Explain program details, admission requirements, tuition fees, schedules, financing/funding options and career pathways accurately.
- Guide students through the complete admission and enrollment process, from initial inquiry through registration.
- Follow up with interested and undecided leads and maintain a strong admissions pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, follow-ups and enrollment status in the college’s CRM/system.
- Work toward monthly enrollment targets.
- Build rapport and establish trust with prospective students and their families.
- Coordinate with the admissions and academic teams when additional information or documentation is required.
- Follow up on incomplete applications and outstanding documents.
- Maintain skilled communication and represent MLC College positively.
- Meet daily and monthly call, follow-up and enrollment targets.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in admissions, education counselling, inside sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with prospective students by phone.
- Strong follow-up and persuasion skills without using misleading or high-pressure sales tactics.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn CRM/Moodle and other systems.
- Organized, self-motivated and target-oriented.
- Ability to work independently during evening/night hours.
- Experience with WhatsApp Business is an asset.
- Knowledge of Ontario private career colleges and vocational education is an asset.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate
- Mississauga, ON L5R 1B8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
