Title: After- Hours Program Support (Part-Time Evenings & Weekends)

Reports to: Manager of Program

Mission Statement

Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre exists to create and sustain, through compassionate dedicated staff, programs to develop life skills in participants, social and welcoming environments in which meaningful relationships and friendships are developed, and inclusive community experiences.

Introduction The After-Hours Program Support is responsible for leading and delivering structured evening and weekend programming for youth and adults (ages 14+) with varying abilities. This includes social, recreational, and community-based programs such as Social Club, Dance Mixers, and life skills programming. This is a part-time position with consistent, scheduled evening hours, along with additional opportunities based on program offerings.

Unlike casual roles, this position requires a reliable commitment to specific program times.

The After-Hours Program Support plays a key role in creating engaging, inclusive, and well-structured experiences. While programs are designed to be social and enjoyable, this role requires confident leadership, the ability to support diverse participant needs, and a strong focus on safety, dignity, and meaningful participation. This position is ideal for individuals currently enrolled in or graduated from programs related to developmental services, social services, or education who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.

The After-Hours Program Facilitator is a valued part of the organization and works collaboratively with program instructors, management, and the broader CABLC team to ensure consistent, high-quality support for participants.

Compensation, Hours & Schedule Employment Type: Part - Time

Hours: Primarily evenings and occasional weekends

Required Availability:

- Bi-weekly Thursdays: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- One Friday per month: 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Additional shifts may be available based on program offerings, seasonal events, and organizational needs. Wage Range: $22.00

Location: On-site and community-based programming through Crossing All Bridges Learning Centre

Duties and responsibilities

Program & Participant Support

- Lead and facilitate after-hours programs, including social, recreational, and life skills-based activities.
- Support participant engagement, social interaction, and skill development in a group setting.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and energetic environment that encourages participation.
- Provide direct support to participants based on individual needs, including social, behavioural, and personal support as required.
- Support safe transitions during program activities and community outings.
- Adapt programming and approach based on participant needs while maintaining structure and consistency.
- Actively supervise participants to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
- Promote participant dignity, independence, and inclusion in all interactions.

Documentation & Administration

- Complete required documentation related to program delivery.
- Communicate relevant updates, incidents, or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Follow CABLC policies regarding confidentiality, health and safety, and information management.

Program Environment & Housekeeping

- Maintain a clean, safe,



and welcoming program environment.
- Support set-up and clean-up of program spaces and materials.
- Ensure materials and supplies are used appropriately and stored properly after use.

Additional Requirements

- Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as required.
- Maintain a valid First Aid & CPR certification.
- Obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Provide any documentation required as stated in your résumé.

Knowledge, Education & Experience

- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required).
- College diploma or certificate in a related field (Developmental Service Worker, Educational Assistant, Personal Support Worker), or currently working toward such credentials, is an asset.
- Experience leading or supporting group programming, recreation, or community-based activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with diverse populations while maintaining an inclusive and non-judgmental approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team.
