We currently have an opening at our Stoney Creek location for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Team as an Aluminum Fitter Welder.

Summary King Luminaire Co. is a division of the StressCrete Group that produces a comprehensive assortment of metal poles, pole arms and accessories, plus bollards and site amenities in our plant in Ontario. We are currently looking for an Aluminum Fitter Welder to work in our Stoney Creek location.
Responsibilities
- Ability to fit aluminum parts, components & materials to be welded
- Ability to utilize a variety of hand power tools
- Ability to operate shop machinery & equipment
- Ability to obtain Forklift operator's license
Educational & Experience:
- Welder operator certification to CSA Standard 47.1 and/or 47.2
- Previous knowledge in manufacturing and metal fabrication is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, procedural documents, and other documents.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) is an asset.
Skills/Core Competencies:
- 3+ years of aluminum welding and fitting experience
- Must be willing to be certified by CWB for in-house procedures.
- The ability to read blueprints, interpret drawings, and follow written and verbal instruction
- Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment
- Willingness to work as a team player and assist others as needed
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a focus on safety
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

- Maintain a clean work area, document work progress, and follow all safety guidelines related to manufacturing and construction environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in aluminum fabrication, welding (MIG and TIG), or related manufacturing fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and welding apparatus.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures involving cranes or forklifts for material handling.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication.
- Knowledge of schematics related to ductwork or structural assembly is preferred.
- Construction experience or background in manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
- Valid certifications in welding (MIG/TIG), rigging, or forklift operation are a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
