We are seeking a motivated and skilled Asphalt-Paving Machine Operator to join our dynamic construction team for Spring 2027. In this role, you will be responsible for operating heavy paving equipment to ensure smooth, durable asphalt surfaces for roads, parking lots, and other infrastructure projects. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely, contributing to the successful completion of large-scale paving projects.

Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt paving machines with precision to achieve consistent thickness and smooth surfaces according to project specifications
- Prepare the worksite by setting up equipment, checking for hazards, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Monitor machine performance during operation, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
- Collaborate with crew members to coordinate paving activities, including loading materials and managing traffic control when necessary
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on paving equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Assist with other construction tasks such as concrete forming, loader operation, or excavator work as required
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies at all times
Skills
- Robust mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment, especially asphalt paving machinery
- Proven experience in construction environments with a focus on paving operations
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and concrete finishing tools confidently and safely
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Knowledge of paving techniques, concrete forming, and finishing processes
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and follow detailed instructions
- Basic understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
