We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager for a new location who loves great retail, great people, and creating an experience that keeps customers coming back.

As the Store Manager’s right hand, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day success of the store. You’ll spend plenty of time on the floor alongside your team — coaching, solving problems, driving sales, sharing product knowledge, and making sure the store is running at its best.

You’ll help turn store goals into action, support the development of the team, and step into the lead when the Store Manager isn’t there.

What You’ll Do

- Lead by example and create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and memorable customer experience.
- Provide on-shift leadership, direction, and support to the team.
- Coach team members on customer service, product knowledge, sales techniques, and store expectations.
- Help the team understand store goals and KPIs and find practical ways to improve sales, basket size, customer loyalty, and overall performance.
- Regularly check in with team members, recognize great work, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Support the Store Manager with training, onboarding, and ongoing employee development.
- Build strong cannabis and product knowledge and help create a culture of continuous learning.
- Confidently handle customer concerns and escalations while remaining calm, professional, and solutions-focused.
- Support inventory management, product receiving, merchandising, and inventory counts.
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash management.
- Maintain a store that is clean, organized,



well-merchandised, and ready for customers.
- Ensure the team consistently follows all provincial cannabis regulations, responsible sales requirements, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities, communicate concerns, and work closely with the Store Manager to improve team and store performance.
- Take ownership of store operations and confidently lead the business when the Store Manager is away.

What You’ll Bring

- 2+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience.
- Previous supervisory, keyholder, or management experience is preferred.
- A genuine interest in leading people, coaching others, and developing your management skills.
- Strong customer service and sales instincts.
- The ability to motivate a team and hold people accountable in a supportive and respectful way.
- A hands-on approach — you’re comfortable jumping in wherever the team needs you.
- Solid communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to make decisions, prioritize, and take ownership when you’re leading the store.
- Cannabis retail experience is an asset, but curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required provincial cannabis certifications.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
