The Role

- Monitoring inventory aging, obsolescence, turnover and availability.
- Ensuring technicians and Service Advisors have the parts they need to keep work moving efficiently.
- Maintaining strong working relationships across Parts, Service and Sales.
- Managing parts pricing and ensuring manufacturer policies and procedures are followed.
- Overseeing warranty-related parts processes and working with warranty administration as required.
- Establishing department goals and monitoring sales, gross profit, expenses and other key performance indicators.
- Reviewing department results regularly and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Maintaining accurate records and consistent use of dealership systems and processes.
- Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Parts employees.
- Addressing customer concerns and supporting a high standard of service for internal and external customers.
- Maintaining a safe, organized and professional department.
What You Bring We’re looking for someone with solid automotive parts experience and a valuable understanding of how a dealership Parts Department operates.
You should be comfortable leading people, managing inventory and working with financial and operational performance data. Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills are important, as is the ability to work collaboratively with Service and other dealership departments.
Previous Parts Manager experience is preferred. We would also consider a strong Assistant Parts Manager, senior Parts Advisor or experienced automotive parts professional who has demonstrated leadership ability and is ready for greater responsibility.
Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record are required.
