Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation
- Operate Toast POS (Point of Sale) systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling transactions and cash register operations
- Assist customers by taking orders (in person and drive through), answering questions about menu items, and providing exceptional service
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other quick-service items in accordance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food handling stations and dining spaces
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy,
including cashing out customers and balancing registers at shift end
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and allergen awareness
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
