Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Type: Full-Time (5 days per week)

Location: Scanway Catering, Halifax, NS (In-Person)

Compensation: $19.50 – $20.50 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Start Date: Flexible, based on candidate availability

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an in-person role reporting directly to our accountant. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of bookkeeping experience and be proficient with QuickBooks. We value accuracy, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Record financial transactions, reconcile bank statements, and maintain general finances
- Assist with payroll, invoicing, and financial reporting
- Collaborate with our accountant to ensure accurate financial records
- Handle multiple tasks and priorities with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

- 3–4 years of skilled bookkeeping experience




- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge about Catering is beneficial
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a small team environment

Interview Process

- Round 1: In-person interview
- Round 2: Skill test to assess QuickBooks knowledge and attention to detail
