About the Role
PeakRidge Group is looking for a part-time In-House Accountant to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting. This role supports our commercial real estate development and building operations, including cost tracking and reporting across active projects.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping (accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, general ledger entries)
- Prepare and maintain QS (quantity surveyor) / job cost reports for active development and construction projects
- Track project budgets and costs against forecasts
- Prepare regular financial reports and summaries for leadership
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, or bookkeepers as needed
- Maintain organized, accurate financial records across the company
What We're Looking For
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience (formal accounting education/certification an asset, not required)
- Experience with QS reports, job costing,
or project-based cost tracking
- Commercial real estate or construction/development industry experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Excel
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines with minimal oversight
- Clear communication skills, written and verbal
