Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring accurate bending of metal sheets based on technical drawings and blueprints
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine proper machine settings
- Use hand tools, calipers, and measuring devices to verify dimensions and ensure precision in finished parts
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from specifications
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes that require precise metal forming or fabrication techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication workplace
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize measurement tools like calipers for quality assurance
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and material quantities
- Knowledge of safety standards related to crane operation, forklift handling, and mechanical equipment
