Position Summary The Brand Business Manager (BBM) is a strategic growth partner to a portfolio of Marsham's “Better for You” natural and organic brands. The BBM is the day-to-day point of contact for the client — fielding requests, running calls, and keeping the relationship moving — but does that work inside a standard process and with a sales-oriented mindset, so day-to-day contact translates into growth rather than just service. The role is built around PowerBI, Toodu (CRM), and Microsoft tools such as 365 and CoPilot as the primary tools of the job, not optional add-ons.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the client's day-to-day point of contact,
fielding and resolving requests quickly through the standard intake process.
- Own and drive the client's annual/quarterly business plan — channel strategy, distributor partnerships, assortment, pricing, and promotion — built and tracked in Toodu CRM and PowerBI.
- Proactively identify and pitch commercial growth opportunities: distribution gaps, new item launches, promotional ROI, and category white space.
- Act as the client's strategic advisor on the Canadian customer landscape, category dynamics, and path-to-market decisions — bringing a recommendation, not just data.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client and Marsham's Sales team, translating strategy into account-level execution.
- Use PowerBI dashboards and CoPilot to prepare data-driven recommendations and client-ready materials in place of manual reporting.
- Track progress against KPIs and monthly scorecards, flagging risk early rather than at the review.
- Monitor trade spends against budget and flag deduction or budget risk before it compounds.
- Enforce the standard intake and time-boxed meeting process for all client engagement; escalate non-standard requests to leadership rather than accommodating them ad hoc.
- Maintain Toodu CRM as the single source of truth for every client interaction, decision, and next step.
- Represent assigned brands at industry trade shows and other external events as required.
- Teach teammates and clients how to use our shared tools, so expertise isn't siloed with one person.
Requirements
- 5+ years in CPG brand management, key account management, or brand-side sales.
- Comfortable pushing back professionally when requests and support fall outside the standard process.
- Working proficiency with PowerBI, CRM platforms (Toodu), Microsoft CoPilot, and core Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Strong analytical skills — able to turn data into a recommendation, not just a report.
- Excellent presentation and selling skills across audiences from client leadership to national retail accounts.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously without letting effort become uneven across the portfolio.
Competencies
- Commercial mindset: sees every client interaction as a potential growth opportunity, not just a maintenance task.
- Process discipline protects the standard rather than making one-off exceptions.
- Tool fluency: treats CRM, BI, and AI-assisted tools as core to the job.
- Communication, self-direction, teamwork, resourcefulness, and analytical thinking.
- Values diversity and difference; builds relationships with ethics and integrity.
Compensation
- Full-Time
- Salary Range: $75k to $90k
- 3 weeks of paid vacation
- Perks
- Flexible, hybrid work style – remote with 1-2 in office collaboration days per month
