Business Development Associate THE OPPORTUNITY:

Dynamic Source Manufacturing (DSM) is a North American electronics manufacturing partner with facilities in Calgary, Canada and Tempe, Arizona. We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join DSM’s Sales & Marketing department as a central member of our growth team. This role owns prequalification and initial outreach to potential customers across DSM’s target markets, supports the preparation and hosting of prospective customer meetings and facility tours, and stays directly engaged with qualified customers well beyond that first contact. The BD Associate supports customers through the RFQ phase and, for awarded opportunities, through NPI and onboarding, before those opportunities transition to DSM’s sustaining production team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prequalify and conduct initial outreach to potential customers across DSM's target markets, including energy, defense, communications, industrial, and emerging technology, and more
- Execute proactive, multi-channel outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, in-person engagement, trade shows, conferences, and other relevant industry events to initiate conversations and build early-stage opportunities
- Manage and track leads and outreach activity through DSM's CRM, and execute against defined KPIs for sales activity, pipeline growth, and qualified opportunities
- Partner with the Sales & Marketing team to align outreach with target account strategy, and stay engaged with qualified opportunities as they move into RFQ and quoting
- Support the Sales & Marketing team in preparing for and hosting customer visits, facility tours, and presentations including coordinating logistics,



organizing existing presentation materials (not material generation), and serving as the customer's in office point of contact
- Coordinate and facilitate the flow of information cross-functionally (e.g., engineering, procurement, finance, etc.) and to/from the customer to keep opportunities progressing
- Help compile technical, pricing, and program data, and assist in preparing and assembling accurate, well-organized quote packages and proposals
- Track the status of all sales activities, including open quotes and opportunities, following up internally and with customers to keep information flowing and deadlines on track
- Stay engaged with awarded opportunities through NPI and onboarding, partnering with DSM's sustaining team to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated transition into production

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Post secondary degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or communications
- Minimum 2 years of sales, business development, or customer service required
- Strong communicator, confident initiating conversations and building rapport
- Comfortable with proactive outbound outreach by phone, email, and related social platforms
- Professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills
- Organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a KPI-driven environment
- Comfortable coordinating information and following up across internal departments and with customers directly
- Basic financial or business acumen (e.g., understanding of pricing, margins, or costing concepts) is an asset, given this role’s involvement in quote compiling and revenue-generating activity
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with CRM software required, HubSpot preferred
- Experience in a B2B, manufacturing, or industrial sales environment is an asset, but not required
