Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker Assistant/Helper to join our dynamic woodworking and cabinetry team. In this role, you will support skilled cabinet makers in constructing, installing, and finishing custom cabinets and woodwork projects. Your enthusiasm for craftsmanship, safety awareness, and willingness to learn will contribute to delivering high-quality results for our clients.

This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in woodworking, construction, and shop operations within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support cabinet construction and installation.
- Prepare work areas by organizing tools, materials, and supplies needed for daily tasks.
- Support the cutting, shaping, and assembly of wood components using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and CNC machines.
- Help with measuring accurately and marking materials according to project specifications.
- Aid in the installation of cabinets, countertops, shelving, and other wood fixtures on-site or in workshop settings.
- Maintain a clean and protected workspace by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling heavy lifting tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on various construction tasks including drywall finishing, flooring installation, tile laying, caulking, rebar installation, roofing prep, or masonry work as needed.

Qualifications





- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics; previous experience with woodworking or carpentry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and construction materials such as drywall, siding, rebar, or roofing components.
- Experience in construction-related fields including cabinetry installation, framing, masonry, flooring installation or general handyman work is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely up to 50lb and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail with good measurement skills; ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new techniques and safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is a plus for assisting with on-site projects.
